Millais Nurseries Welcomes New Ownership: Daniel Turner Takes the Reins, Continuing a Legacy of Horticultural Excellence.

On the 17th May 2024 – Daniel Turner, the nursery manager who has worked here for 17 years and is a respected figure in the horticultural community, acquired Millais Nurseries from its previous owners, David and Susanna Millais. This transition marks a new chapter for the nursery, while honouring its rich heritage.

Founded by David’s parents, Ted and Romy Millais, Millais Nurseries has been admired in the horticultural community for 54 years, known for its exceptional specialist plant varieties and dedication to excellence. As David Millais retires, he leaves behind a legacy that has significantly shaped the nursery's success, including receiving a Royal Warrant from the former Prince of Wales in 2018.

"I am immensely proud of how the nursery has developed over the years," said David. "It has been an honour to expand on the legacy of my parents and build such a respected rhododendron nursery. I have full confidence in Daniel's ability to lead the nursery into the future."

Daniel Turner and his partner Sarah Nicholson, the new owners of Millais Nurseries, bring a fresh perspective and a wealth of experience to the company. With a commitment to preserving the nursery's legacy while driving innovation and focusing on the best environmental practices, Daniel is poised to continue delivering exceptional plants and services to customers.
